Eine Kritik zum Auftritt von Klubobmann der SPÖ im Nationalrat, Josef Cap, bei der Sendung “Bürgerforum“

Zu allererst muss man fairerweise sagen, dass das Format und die Organisation der Sendung einfach und schlicht die falschen waren. Schon der Name war für mich Grund genug die Sendung nicht sehen zu wollen: „Die Türken – ewige Außenseiter?“ So ein suggestiver Titel kann doch nicht die Basis einer zielführenden, zivilen und dezenten Diskussion sein. Der gute Jon Stewart –Moderator der US amerikanische Sendung „The Daily Show“– würde dazu sagen: „Ist deine Mutter eine Hure?“ Fragezeichen!

Danach musste ich die Sendung doch sehen. Die entsetzte Kommentare wurden immer mehr und die Stimmung immer schlimmer.

Identity Crisis

Being controversial is HC Strache’s main tool for drawing media attention, no doubt about it. After all, who is not tempted by using controversy in times of mass media and yellow papers? Surely only the few.

But there is a big difference between breaking taboos aiming the assurance of civil liberties and basic principles, and a controversy done by overrunning the Constitution and the Human Rights with the obvious intention of provoking social groups prompt to be prejudiced. This all while forgetting the basic civil liberties which have to be guaranteed by the government.
